Minimally invasive implants are small metal posts that your AppleTree Dental provider inserts into the empty sockets where your permanent teeth used to be. After placement, the implants integrate with your jawbone, providing a base for crowns or implant-retained dentures.

What does getting minimally invasive implants involve?

At AppleTree Dental, getting minimally invasive implants takes at least three visits spaced several months apart.

Your provider reviews your dental records, asks about your smile goals, and completes an oral exam. They also take digital X-rays to see if you have adequate bone to support the implants. If they determine you’re in good overall oral health, you qualify for treatment.

Your provider takes digital scans of your mouth and uses a computer program to create a custom surgical guide. The surgical guide tells your provider exactly where to place the implants, ensuring accuracy and precision.

After creating the guide, your provider numbs your mouth and places the implants. Following surgery, they send you home with antibiotics and recovery instructions.

Several weeks later, when the implants finish integrating with your jawbone, you return to AppleTree Dental. Your provider takes impressions of your mouth (with the implants) and sends them to a dental lab. The lab uses your impressions to manufacture custom crowns or implant-retained dentures.

When the lab finishes your implant restorations, you visit AppleTree Dental for the third time. Your provider attaches the restorations to your implants, polishes your teeth, and checks your bite. You’ll leave the office with a vibrant smile.
